Today marks the return of the Year Bearer Sign of the Sacred Mayan Sun Calendar (Haab), which started on February 18th, 2025. The Mayan Solar Calendar consists of 360 days governed by daily energies, plus 5 days out of time. According to the Mayan elders in Guatemala, it resets every year in February, even if some sources say the start date is in March.
The year 2025 is in the sign of 13 Iq‘, which brings authentic, feminine leadership together with the ephemeral, expansive, and transcendental power of the day-sign Iq. Iq stands for the wind element, the breath, life force energy, the heart, a strong yet gentle connection to spirit, and guidance through signs and dreams. Plus – it stands for the power of the word.

The Power of the Word
The word for the Maya was sacred, a tool to create reality, to weave one’s own destiny, and to create harmony. With the Year Bearer 13 Iq’, this year we are called to carry our words as sacred instruments that shape our reality, be it through words, thoughts, or even feelings. Everything has an impact. That’s why keeping our words, thoughts, and emotions in the highest vibrational state is even more important this year.
To avoid spiritual by-passing – meaning you try to think positive no matter what, but your outer world reflects challenges, and you suppress your negative thoughts and feelings, being dishonest to yourself and others – the challenge is to recognize when negative emotions arise, release the thoughts and feelings attached to them, and then take aligned action to come into a more grounded positive state.
Book a coaching session to work on a specific topic to find the root cause so you can release it for good. I work with somatic coaching and positive psychology to take all energy bodies into account.
The word is not only a carrier of frequency, beyond what the word means itself, but also a vibration that has influence. For people with the day-sign Iq’ in their chart, the word is especially powerful in terms of writing and thinking. Influence here comes through presence, not only the spoken word. However, to clear their presence and stand in pristine sacred energy, everything old and outdated has to be released.
Words in Writing, Poetry, and Speech
Not everything has to be said. Not everything has to be shared. Yet some things can be uncovered through conversation or writing, in a moment of insight. The fine-tuning of how words are being used, is what this year is all about.
How are your thoughts about yourself and your life daily influencing your reality?
When is it better to stay silent than to say something?
How are your feelings about yourself and your environment?
What type of writing recreates your energy?
What type of writing leaves you feeling drained?
Feminine leadership is often defined by action-taking, not talking. It’s powered by observing, evaluating, deciding, and creating with sure-shot movement in alignment with values.
Silence
There are moments when silence is a good teacher. When staying quiet, if not every piece of information has been assembled yet, not mentioning, asking, or sharing is important.
This is the time when the Soul gets the strongest, and silent leadership can take root.
On a final note:
What do you want your words, thoughts, and feelings to transmit through your environment? How can you take care of it until February 2026?
